Department of Energy Secretary Alfonso G. Cusi addressed the officials and employees of the National Power Corporation (NPC) yesterday (5 November) during their 82nd Anniversary at the NPC Compound in Quezon City, Monday.

"As we celebrate 82 years of service to our people, let us challenge ourselves to go further - let us redefine NPC. We could do more if we accelerate our work processes. Let us start now," the Energy Chief emphasized in his inspirational message. 

He also reminded the members of NPC that the energy family should not rest from improving the lives of each and every Filipino. 

"On behalf of President Rodrigo R. Duterte, I am appealing to everyone to stay faithful to their duties. Tapat na paninilbihan sa lahat ng ating mamamayan. Taos pusong serbisyo na mabilis at mabisa," Sec. Cusi said.

NPC was initially established as a non-stock, public corporation on 3 November 1936 during the time of President Manuel L. Quezon.
