The Department of Energy (DOE) warns the public and energy stakeholders about unscrupulous activities involving a fake "Department Circular Order" which requires newly hired employees of power generation and distribution companies to undergo safety and security training before deployment and pay for a temporary work permit with the DOE.

The DOE strongly cautions the public that this document is fraudulent and clarifies that no Department Circular was issued by the DOE pertaining to ISO HS Certification 14001 as a prerequisite for employment in the power generation and distribution companies.

The DOE reiterates its adherence to the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees or Republic Act No. 6713, which prohibits officials and employees from soliciting money. We urge the public, especially the industry participants, to immediately report any such fraudulent activities or any similar incidents through DOE telephone no. 88402167 or email at infocenter@doe.gov.ph.

All persons misrepresenting themselves to be authorized by or associated with the DOE or any of its officials shall be dealt with in accordance with the law.
