Cusi expressed his appreciation for the continued support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), as the Department of Energy embarks on its latest partnership with the Agency through the Energy Secure Philippines (ESP) Activity.

United in Development: In his message, Energy Secretary Alfonso G. Cusi expressed his appreciation for the continued support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), as the Department of Energy embarks on its latest partnership with the Agency through the Energy Secure Philippines (ESP) Activity. 

"The ESP also augurs well for our consumer empowerment policies for a transparent, competitive, and rules-based energy market. We aim to enhance competition in the power sector by broadening the number of market participants that demand reliable and affordable electricity. This will potentially bring down electricity costs," Secretary Cusi stated. 

The ESP Activity seeks to utilize increased private sector investments as a means to help the Philippines attain its energy goals.
