I. POWER SECTOR

YELLOW ALERT notice was raised from 9:01AM to 10:00AM, and 4:01PM to 8:00PM. 

RED ALERT notice will be raised as of 10:01AM to 4:00PM.

A. POWER GENERATION

The following plants were affected by the earthquake: 

GN Power Unit 1 and 2 - 690 MW
SCPC Units 1 to 4 - 600 MW

B. TRANSMISSION

The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) reported that the Mexico-San Simon 69 kV line is presently undergoing repairs.

C. DISTRIBUTION

PELCO II has reported the partial restoration within its service area with subsequent re-energization subject to the rehabilitation efforts of the NGCP on the distribution lines leading to PELCO II.

II. DOWNSTREAM OIL SECTOR

No damages were reported by the Oil Industry players.

III. UPSTREAM SECTOR

No damages were reported by the Upstream Industry sector. 

IV. KEROSENE AND LPG PRICE FREEZE

A State of Calamity (SOC) was raised in Porac, Pampanga. Thus, a price freeze for household liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and kerosene products in this area is now in effect and will remain valid for 15 days upon the announcement of a SOC. 

The DOE will continue to monitor and come up with updates as soon as more information becomes available.
