TAGUIG CITY - Department of Energy (DOE) Secretary Alfonso G. Cusi has directed all DOE employees and personnel the mandatory use of StaySafe.PH contact tracing application to monitor  COVID-19 incidents within the organization and help prevent the spread of the virus. 

Secretary Cusi's directive was contained in a memorandum to all DOE employees/personnel issued on Friday (22 January).

“This digital bayanihan system is an essential tool to protect yourself, your family and the entire DOE community. Together with the DOE COVID-19 Incident Management Team (IMT), I call for everyone’s cooperation in utilizing this platform to effectively mitigate the spread of any emerging infectious diseases,” Secretary Cusi said. 

StaySafe.PH is the Philippines' official health condition reporting, contact tracing, and social distancing system developed to assist the government in our fight against COVID-19, as prescribed by the Inter-Agency Task force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases through its Resolution No. 85 issued on 26 November 2020.

The resolution states that all National Government and Local Government Units are mandated to adopt the digital application system.

Secretary Cusi further directed the de facto DOE COVID-19 IMT, which is tasked to monitor and manage COVID-19 incidents within the Department, to facilitate the implementation and roll out of StaySafe.PH as the Department's digital contact tracing application.
