As illustrated in the Architecture, DEPDMS is divided into three-layers namely: the data source, production server (operations), and users.
The DEPDMS handles various information from different data sources such as the File Transfer Protocol (FTP) server, email, and other internal sources. Majority of which is coming from the electricity market which is being transmitted via FTP.
The production server is responsible for the system operations, it is where Extract Transform and Load (ETL) happens. It basically transforms rows and variables into a template for warehousing and processing thru MSSQL.
Finally, the user phase is the layer where the user interacts with the system to have a visualization of the desired processed data in any platform (e.g., Excel, Tableau Software, SQL server reporting services).
