NOTICE is hereby given that Barangays Balatubat, Naguilian and Minabel in Camiguin Island and Barangays Dilam, Dibay, Babuyan Claro and Dalupiri in Calayan Island, all located in the Municipality of Calayan, Cagayan Province are remote and unviable areas have been declared open for the provision of electric service by Qualified Third Parties (QTPs) pursuant to Section 59 of the Electric Power Industry Reform Act of 2001 otherwise known as EPIRA and Rule 14 of its Implementing Rules and Regulations. The Cagayan Electric Cooperative II (CAGELCO II) having franchise obligations over these remote and unviable areas, have issued Board Resolution No. 028-0426 "Resolution Temporarily Waiving the Franchise to Operate in Camiguin Island and Calayan Island, Municipality of Calayan, Cagayan Province in Favor of a Qualified Third Party."
