PHOTO RELEASE: Towards A Reliable Power System In Mindanao

Last  Wednesday, 28 June, the Department of Energy together with the Philippine Electricity Market Corp. (PEMC) held a ceremonial, symbolic and historical switched on during  the official launch of the Mindanao Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM) which provides  a competitive and transparent market for Mindanao electricity consumers lowering electricity rates at the SMX Convention Center in Davao City.

(Davao City). Last  Wednesday, 28 June, the Department of Energy together with the Philippine Electricity Market Corp. (PEMC) held a ceremonial, symbolic and historical switched on during  the official launch of the Mindanao Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM) which provides  a competitive and transparent market for Mindanao electricity consumers lowering electricity rates at the SMX Convention Center in Davao City. WESM will allow Mindanao to have a competitive and transparent power market with the intent to lower electricity prices and increase reliability in the region's power system. During the event, Energy Secretary Alfonso G. Cusi discussed the benefits of WESM to Mindanao consumers and how it can help the development of the region.
