DOE Names Anti-Corruption Evaluator

TAGUIG CITY - In line with Executive Order (EO) No. 34, “Creating the Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) and Providing for its Powers, Duties and Functions, and for Other Purposes”, and EO No. 73, “Amending Executive Order (EO) No. 43 (s.2017) Creating the Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission”, Department of Energy (DOE) Assistant Secretary Leonido J. Pulido III has been appointed as the PACC Deputized Resident Evaluator.

Assistant Secretary Pulido was deputized and assumed the responsibilities as PACC officer last 06 March 2019 to fulfill the mandate of the Commission within the DOE.

In this regard, the Resident Evaluator encourages everyone, who has knowledge, to report any acts or omissions that constitutes graft and corrupt practices committed by erring DOE officials. 

Asec. Pulido underscored, "In order to maintain good governance in the energy sector, we must put a stop to these dishonest public officials who abuse their power. We, who serve, owe it to the public."

Moreover, PACC rules state that complaints must be addressed directly to the office of the Deputized Resident Evaluator, who must be notified upon the formal filing to avoid documents from being intercepted by other unauthorized persons.

Cases filed by anonymous groups or individuals will be treated with utmost discretion and confidentiality, which will be acted upon as long as the evidence are complete.
