DOE-Luzon Field Office Transfers to a New Home

HOME SWEET HOME: The two-storey building in Carmay East, Rosales, Pangasinan is the DOE-LFO's permanent home.  ###

ROSALES, PANGASINAN - After a decade of leasing a building at Mc Arthur Highway in Urdaneta City, the Department of Energy-Luzon Field Office (DOE-LFO) has finally transferred to its new and permanent home, this time at the Government Center in Barangay Carmay East, Rosales, Pangasinan. 

The two-storey building houses the Office of the DOE-LFO Director, the Energy Industry Management Division, and the Energy Resource Development and Utilization Division. 

As part of the inauguration, DOE-LFO Director Renante M. Sevilla organized a blessing of the new building on 11 December 2020, which was officiated by Rev. Fr. Angelito S. Arsola, Parish Priest of the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish. Also present were Engr. Reynaldo V. Liganor, Chief of the Energy Resource Development and Utilization Division, Engr. Romulo B. Callangan Jr., Chief of the Energy Industry Management Division, including their staff, and Carmay East Barangay Captain Roel Bautista. 

The LFO is the DOE's representative and implementing arm of the agency's policies, plans, and programs in Regions I (Ilocos), II (Cagayan Valley), III (Central Luzon), and the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR). 

The devolution of some of the DOE’s functions to the DOE-LFO, such as those concerning the Oil Industry Management Bureau, Renewable Energy Management Bureau, Energy Utilization Management Bureau, Electric Industry Management Bureau, and the Energy Resource Development Bureau is expected to expedite the delivery of energy services to the regions it covers.
