WHEREAS, the Department of Energy - Nuclear Energy Program Implementing Organization (DOE-NEPIO) was created on 24 October 2016 through the issuance of DOE Department Order (DO) No. DO2016-10-0013, titled "Creating the Nuclear Energy Program Implementing Organization (NEPIO) in the Department of Energy", to lead in the unified and coordinated efforts and activities relative to the conduct of various studies and research on nuclear energy development in the country;
