The Department of Energy launches its latest episodes of the Siklo ng Enerhiya produced in partnership with Knowledge Channel Foundation, Inc. (KFCI) on September 7, 2023 at the DOE Multi-Purpose Building.

The event was graced by the presence of the former DOE Secretary Zenaida Monsada, Usec. Felix William B. Fuentebella, Chairperson of the DOE- Gender and Development Technical Working Group, Dir. Patrick T. Aquino, CESO III, Ms. Rina Lopez, KCFI President and Executive Director and Mr. Edric C. Calma, Director of Operations, KCFI, selected students and teachers from the Department of Education Taguig and Pateros Schools Division Office.

The launching also highlights the robust partnership the DOE has with the Knowledge Channel Foundation Incorporated since 2017, KCFI being CWPO’s partner in producing the DOE educational videos.

The Siklo ng Enerhiya is an educational video series that targets basic education learners in promoting awareness on basic electricity, energy conservation, energy supply chain and renewable energy with due consideration on gender, among others. The project also is attributed to the GAD of DOE as it presents to young students, the future workforce, the vast opportunities in the power sector alone where both women and men can pursue their respective careers thereby breaking gender stereotype in the energy sector.
