More power to EnerKids! The Department of Education through DepEd Region VIII Tacloban City Division recognized the EnerKids program of the Department of Energy's Consumer Welfare and Promotion Office (DOE-CWPO) through the “Kaugop Awardee” at the Division Stakeholders’ Gawad Dungog 2023 at Pacific Point, San Jose, Tacloban City.

“Kaugop” in Waray dialect means an ally or partner and “Dungog” means honor. The campaign was recognized for its successful conduct which gathered 100 student leaders and advisers of 42 participating public elementary schools under the DepEd Tacloban City Schools Division (SDO). EnerKids pushes for energy advocates among the youth through practical application of smart choices on energy efficiency.
