Siklo ng Enerhiya Receives AnakTV Seal Award for Television Excellence

The Department of Energy (DOE) is honored to receive the prestigious Anak TV Award in the Television Category during the 2024 AnakTV Seal Awards held on 06 December 2024, at the EVM Convention Center. This recognition was awarded for the educational video series Siklo ng Enerhiya, a groundbreaking program that reflects our commitment to empowering and educating Filipino learners about energy awareness and sustainability.

In collaboration with the Knowledge Channel Foundation, Inc., Siklo ng Enerhiya was meticulously designed to cater to basic education learners, addressing critical topics such as basic electricity, energy conservation, the energy supply chain, and renewable energy. The series not only underscores the science and significance of energy but also promotes inclusivity by highlighting the essential roles of both men and women in the energy sector. By encouraging students to envision diverse career opportunities, Siklo ng Enerhiya aims to dismantle traditional gender stereotypes and inspire the next generation to contribute meaningfully to the energy industry.

The series follows Ella, the main character, as she embarks on an engaging journey to uncover the indispensable role of energy in our daily lives. Through Ella’s story, the program serves as a vital platform for the DOE to communicate its responsibilities in energy sourcing, distribution, and management. More importantly, it empowers young Filipinos with practical knowledge about energy conservation, inspiring them to make meaningful contributions to a sustainable energy future in their own ways and capacities.

The AnakTV Seal is a coveted accolade that celebrates outstanding programs prioritizing child safety, education, and family-friendly values. These programs are selected through the votes of thousands of parents, educators, and professionals nationwide, who recognize their child-sensitive content, educational value, and positive impact on family viewing.

The DOE dedicates this award to all who have supported Siklo ng Enerhiya, including its partners, educators, and the young learners who continue to inspire us to champion energy education for the betterment of our nation. This achievement reaffirms the Department’s commitment to creating innovative and impactful initiatives that not only educate but also empower future generations.
