The Department of Energy (DOE) announced that it is working closely with oil companies to ensure
the continued availability and implementation of fuel discount programs as part of the government’s
efforts to protect Filipino consumers amid ongoing developments in the Middle East that are
affecting global oil markets.
The Department of Energy (DOE) has directed all oil companies, gasoline stations, and downstream
oil industry participants to strictly comply with existing fuel pricing rules and anti-hoarding
regulations amid continued monitoring of global oil market developments. The Department
emphasized that the country continues to have sufficient fuel supply and that proactive measures
are being undertaken to maintain stability in the domestic petroleum market.
The Department of Energy (DOE), through its Mindanao Field Office (DOE-MFO), has intensified monitoring of petroleum retail outlets across Mindanao to ensure full compliance with existing fuel pricing regulations and to protect consumers from any unfair practices.
The Department of Energy (DOE), through the Inter-Agency Energy Efficiency and
Conservation Committee (IAEECC) issued an Advisory directing all government agencies
to strictly implement the Government Energy Management Program (GEMP) Guidelines
and comply with relevant IAEECC resolutions.
