MFO is mandated to implement regional policies, plans, programs and regulations of the department relating to energy resource exploration and development, and the judicious and efficient utilization of energy resource, to ensure adequate, efficient and reliable supply of electricity, and to monitor development in the do, downstream oil industry with due regard to the environment and sustainable energy development in Mindanao.

Energy Resource Development Division (ERDD)

• The ERDD shall implement regional policies, plans, programs and regulations of the Department related to exploration, development, production and utilization of indigenous coal, petroleum, nuclear mineral and renewable energy resources, including market development, promotion, and commercialization of such resources and related emerging technologies.

Energy Utilization Management Division (EUMD)

• Implements regional policies, plans, programs, and regulations of the Department on energy efficiency and conservation, and the development, promotion, and utilization of electric vehicles, alternative fuels, and other emerging technologies.

Electric Power Industry Management Division (EPIMD)

• Implement energy policies, plans, programs, and regulatory mechanisms of the DOE to ensure the adequacy, efficiency, and reliability of electricity, promote sustainable development, monitor and ensure timely developments in the electric power industry and provide feedback to support national policy refinement.

Oil Industry Management Division (OIMD)

• Implements regional policies, plans, programs and regulations of the Department relating to the downstream oil industries in Mindanao.
