We are rolling out new and strengthened ER 1-94 rules to ensure host communities genuinely feel the gains of energy development.

Built on four core areas, the improved policy focuses on maximizing impact and supporting sustainable development through:

• Transparent use of funds so communities, LGUs, and energy companies can easily track where every peso goes;
• Community-first projects that bring total electrification, lower power rates, and improved livelihoods and basic services;
• Alignment with local needs by supporting projects that match local development plans; and
• Expanding benefits from generation facilities such as offshore energy projects, and emerging technologies. 

Through our information and education campaign, we are ensuring the equitable sharing of benefits from energy projects, making sure they do not just pass through communities but lift them up and help them shine.
