ENERGY UTILIZATION MANAGEMENT BUREAU

Formulates policies, plans and programs related to energy efficiency and conservation (EEC) alternative fuels and energy technologies and ensure effective implementation thereof to enhance security through diversification of energy sources and address climate change.

Alternative Fuels and Energy Technology Division (AFETD)

• formulates and implements policies, plans, and programs related to alternative fuels and new and advanced energy technologies’ development; develop and manage the alternative fuels and energy technology program;
• develop guidelines and strategies on energy efficiency for transport towards fuel diversification and effective utilization of energy resources.

Electric Vehicle Industry Management Division (EVIMD)

• reviews, formulates and develop standards, updates the Comprehensive Roadmap for the Electric Vehicle Industry (CREVI), including the development of performance standards of existing electric vehicles (EVs), and provides technical support to local government units (LGUs) and all stakeholders related to EVs and EV charging stations (EVCS).

Energy Efficiency and Conservation Program Management and Technology Promotion Division (EPMPD)

• formulates policies, plans, and programs related to EEC and alternative fuels and energy technologies and ensure effective implementation thereof to enhance energy security through diversification of energy sources, and address climate change.

Energy Efficiency and Conservation Performance Regulation and Enforcement Division (EPRED)

• formulates policies, plans, and programs for the implementation, regulation, and enforcement of protocols to ensure compliance of products, establishments, practices, and services to the government energy efficiency and conservation guidelines on the Minimum Energy Performance (MEP), energy labeling, and other programs on EEC.

Energy Efficiency and Conservation Public Sector Management Division (EPSMD)

• provides technical assistance to all government entities, including LGUs,
• provides technical support to the Inter-Agency Energy Efficiency and Conservation Committee (IAEECC),
• recommends enhancement and further developments to the IAEECC relative to the Government Energy Management Program (GEMP) and the criteria for identifying government energy efficiency projects and modalities on financial arrangement thereof, and
• to prepare all reports for submission to other government agencies as required by the law.

Nuclear Energy Division (NED)

• promotes, formulates, and implements policies, plans, and programs to advance the development, establishment, and utilization of nuclear energy in the Philippines.
