Notice is hereby given that the Department of Energy is seeking comments from the public and the power industry stakeholders on its proposed "Amendments to Republic Act 9136 otherwise known as "Electric Power Industry Reform Act (EPIRA) of 2001." There will be Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) on the scheduled dates below. All concerned parties are invited to submit a soft copy of their comments to epira2014@yahoo.com.ph and a hard copy therefore at the DOE Main Bldg., PNOC Complex, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City at Fax No. 840-1773 using the attached matrix. The deadline of comments will be on 13 February 2014.

Request for Feedback

The DOE would like to request feedback on the options presented by the Lantau Group at the Consultation Meeting on Friday 13th December 2013. In particular, we would like feedback on:

  1. Which of the Options presented do you feel is most suitable, and why?
  2. Are there any Options you think are not suitable, and if so, why?
  3. Do you see any obstacles to implementation of the suitable Options?
  4. Do you have any further comments on the Options or the process generally?

Please provide all feedback via email to sfairhurst@lantaugroup.com, copied to lsaguin@doe.gov.ph.  We will appreciate receiving on or before 17th January 2014.
