Secretary's Corner
Office of the Secretary
Establishes policies, plans, programs and standards for the effective, efficient and economic operation of the Department of Energy and its attached agencies, and exercises direct supervision and control over all functions and activities.
Office of the Undersecretary
Advises and assists the Secretary in the formulation and implementation of the Department's Policies, Plans, Programs and Standards, and serves as the secretary's deputy in all matters relating to the operations of the Department
Office of the Assistant Secretary
Assists the Secretary and the Undersecretaries on operations, policy and programs and administrative services.
Investment Promotion Office
Implements the Department Policies, Plans and Programs relative to promotion of Investments in Energy Resource Exploration, Technology and Infrastructure, among others.
Consumer Welfare and Promotion Office
Formulates and implements the department policies, plans and programs relative to consumer information, welfare promotion, empowerment and protection.
Public Affairs Office
Prepares and implements plans and programs for media and public relations as well as coordinates activities for special events of the Department.
Internal Audit Division
Conducts compliance, management and operations audits of Department's functions, programs, projects, activities with outputs, and determines the degree of compliance with their mandate, policies, government regulations, established objectives, systems and procedures/processes and contractual obligations.
Energy Policy and Planning Bureau
Formulates, updates, monitors and evaluates national and regional energy plans, policies, programs and projects and provides a comprehensive assessment of demand scenarios and supply options,as well as studies the impacts of international commitments on energy policies, economy and environment.
Planning Division (PD)
Formulates and updates national and regional energy plans and programs consistent with the medium-term Philippine development and investment plans
Policy Formulation and Research Division (PFRD)
Formulates policy recommendations and course of action of current and emerging issues based on energy models, surveys, research and studies for the short, medium and long-term national energy plans, programs and targets
Energy Cooperation and Coordination Division (ECCD)
Coordinates the department`s international and other external cooperation commitment and activities, conducts project evaluation and monitoring, ensures compliance with government environmental policies and standards, and undertakes research and studies thereon
Energy Resource Development Bureau
Formulates and implements government policies, programs and regulations relating to the exploration, development and production of indigenous petroleum, coal and geothermal energy resources, and related product and market development thereof
Petroleum Resources Development Division (PRDD)
Formulates and implements policies, plans, programs and regulations relating to the exploration and development of petroleum resources
Coal and Nuclear Minerals Division (CNMD)
Formulate and implement policies, plans, programs and regulations relating to exploration, development, production, utilization and resource management of coal and nuclear mineral resources.
Energy Utilization Management Bureau
Formulates policies, plans and programs related to energy efficiency and conservation (EEC) alternative fuels and energy technologies and ensure effective implementation thereof to enhance security through diversification of energy sources and address climate change.
Alternative Fuels and Energy Technology Division (AFETD)
Formulating policies, plans, and programs related to alternative fuels and new and advanced energy technologies’ development towards socially and environmentally responsive and effective utilization of energy resources
Energy Efficiency and Conservation Program Management and Technology Promotion Division (EPMPD)
Evaluating energy efficiency and conservation technologies
Energy Efficiency and Conservation Public Sector Management Division (EPSMB)
Providing energy audits and technical assistance to all government agencies
Energy Efficiency and Conservation Performance Regulation and Enforcement Division (EPRED)
Spearheading the creation of the NEECD in accordance with the provisions of this Act
Electric Vehicle Industry Management Division (EVIMD)
General duty: formulates and updates the Comprehensive Roadmap for the Electric Vehicle Industry (CREVI), including the technical support for LGUs and all stakeholders.
Nuclear Energy Division (NED)
Promotes, Formulates, and Implements Policies, Plans, and Programs to Advance the Development, Establishment, and Utilization of Nuclear Energy in the Philippines
Oil Industry Management Bureau (OIMB)
Formulates and Implements policies, plans, programs and regulations on the downstream oil industry, including the importation, exportation, stockpiling, storage, shipping, transportation, refining, processing,marketing and distribution of petroleum crude oils, products and by products, and monitors developments in the downstream oil industry
Oil Industry Standards and Monitoring Division (OISMD)
Formulates policies, plans and programs related to national standards and environmental regulations affecting quality of fuel and fuel additives, and facilities in the downstream oil industry and ensures effective implementation thereof
